Sandakphu Trek Overview

One of the few hikes on earth where you can see 8,000-meter peaks is the SandakphuPhalut Trek. Standing at a height of 11,930 feet on Sandakphu, you can see the Everest cluster to your left.

The fourth and fifth highest peaks in the world, Lhotse and Makalu, are competing with the highest peak in the globe. Everest follows, soaring easily over everything.

The family of peaks that make up Kanchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the world, are visible to your right. Because of its shape, this group of peaks is known as The Sleeping Buddha.

The view of the Sleeping Buddha begins on the first day and lasts for a good 4 days on the walk, but the Everest cluster is only visible from Sandakphu and beyond!

This is one of the few places in the world where you can see eight-thousander peaks in such detail. Even fewer of these would be reachable via a straightforward hike.

Sandakphu is a must-do just for these vistas.
