Science City Kolkata Overview

One of Kolkata’s most well-known tourist destinations is Science City, a unique science museum where visitors may discover new things while having fun. On July 1st, 1997, the science city was inaugurated.

A division of NCSM(“National Council of Science Museums”), which is actually an independent organisation that reports to the Culture Ministry of the Gov. of India, is Science City, Kolkata. On July 1, 1997, Mr. Indra Kumar Gujral, the then-prime minister, inaugurated the complete centre.

The Science City also boasts a portion devoted to the most diverse aquatic environments withunusual insects and fish in the aquarium, making itideal combination of educational and entertaining. The complex’s Earth Exploration Hall, Science Exploration Hall, Space Odyssey, Dynamotion, Maritime Center, and expansive Science Park provide visitors with the experience they will never forget. Science City has seen more than 29.90 million people walk through its doors since it first opened to the public. Both domestic and foreign tourists know about it.
